I love the new name. Started reading Ordinary Light and in Tracy K Smith Prologue it speaks of pain : Did we recognize when it arrived? A day with so much pain, a day when her patience had dissolved and she wanted nothing but be outside of it. I think that grief can be this way too. Grief always needs something different from me. Expressing all of it usually helps, finding peace/grace/joy outside and inside of it makes it easier to bear.
The new name is everything! s/o to Gloria. Journaling is my grieving tool. When I write in my journal I know im writing 100% for me and that's what let's me grieve. On days where I just don't have the energy to write about the pain, I watch movies and shows that will allow me to release similar feelings until I'm ready to face the raw emotions.
this fills me with so much light & love & gratitude. your generosity & capacity to share yourself & what / who you love never fails to help me feel centered, zay. much love.
You went with Mango Entero! All credit goes to the fruit. This newsletter is something special, I know because I refreshed my email a few times on Monday. Glad you took the day off though. Grateful for today's poem. Going to have to check out more of Yusef Komunyakaa's work.
